Mission: Counter-Terrorism Preparedness and Training

As the Program on Counter-Terrorism Preparedness and Training, IML applies advanced distributed learning (ADL) technologies and methods to help assure the ability of individuals and organizations to prevent, respond to, and repair the effects of attacks by terrorists. Completing the transfer of these technologies to the public sector requires preparedness and distance-training programs. The IML, acting as an element of ISTS, is working to develop training products and supporting infrastructure to promote counterterrorism preparedness among first responders at local, state, and federal levels. This work is being done as part of a collaborative agreement between ISTS and the Office of Domestic Preparedness at the Department of Homeland Security.
